Body Supreme Pure Whey Review

body supreme pure whey Overview: no stars

 Approx. £15.00 for 908g (about 30 servings)
 107 calories

 18g of protein per serving

Blend of BCAA's and quality protein

Readily available on the high street

Body Supreme whey protein formula claims to be something altogether different from its rivals in that it contains a careful blend of high quality whey protein, whey protein isolate and BCAA's. But does Body Supreme really stand up to BPS firm favourites such as PhD's Pharma Whey or BSN Syntha?

If you're serious about putting on some lean muscle, we recommend you avoid Body Supreme Pure whey, for a number of reasons. Firstly, it offers only 18g of protein per serving, the lowest of all the protein supplements reviewed here at bestproteinshakes.org.uk. For best results from a protein shake, you should be looking at a very minimum of 20g of protein per serving. The second issue we have with Body Supreme's Pure Whey is the measly 908g. Value for money is often achieved when you buy your tubs in at about 2.5kg a time so paying over £15 for 908g isn't really worth it.

Taste

In all honesty, it doesn't taste that bad, the main problem we found was mixing it (which is often a sign of poor quality protein). It's not a nice taste like some of the newer protein shakes, but its palatable - just. It's best mixed with milk (like most) but it will go down okay with water if you can get it to mix well. We tested strawberry which left a rather unpleasant after taste and so we have a feeling the safer option would be vanilla. If you can find a chocolate flavoured blend of Body Supreme Pure Whey, try mixing it with a banana and some peanut butter to take the edge off.

Customer reviews

"Bought from Adsa for £17.99, not a very pleasant taste. Only three weeks in so too early to report any real results."
Kenneth - County Down

"Poor mixability, poor quality, low in protein and can't wait to finish it"
Tony - East Fife

"I finished a packet of Body Supreme Whey Protein about a month ago and switched to IDS. Nothing about this made me want to repeat purchase. It left me feeling hungry and seemingly increased my flatulence. If you're serious about putting on muscle, you need more than 18g of protein too."
Jack Rogers - London

"After reading some of the Body Supreme Whey protein reviews on the Argos website, I decided to give it a try as I'm pretty new to this. The first time, I tried mixing it with a folk in a pint glass and it was awful. I managed to buy myself a shaker but it still doesn't mix well."
Tom Hall - Devon

Verdict

With the serious gym enthusiasts in mind, we don't recommend you rush out and buy Body Supreme Pure Whey protein. Overall, it's not a good product. From the cheap packaging, to the measly 18g of protein per serving and the poor mixing - we really do struggle to find anything positive to offer.

If price is an issue, take a look at our quality yet affordable whey protein shakes such as Garnell Nutrition As One or USN Protein.
